Quarantine In Shanghai Changes Dates And Routes

ACEX partners in China have warned of ongoing restrictions and expected global delivery disruptions, significant delays at airport customs due to labor shortages and higher freight rates.

Colleagues in China strongly recommend sending cargo to neighboring cities. While transportation in Shenzhen is gradually resuming, all deliveries are expected to be delayed.

Artem Bagdasaryan Artem Bagdasaryan, head of the commercial department of ACEX in Moscow, commented on the situation to the Logirus information portal:

“The quarantine situation in Shanghai does not yet affect departures from railway stations.

Multimodal transportation through the Far East has been redirected to Ningbo. For air transportation, Harbin Airport is now very often used.

Air freight prices have already risen, but not significantly, but delivery times have not yet been affected.”
